Pi Day!

Pi Day!

Pi Day!

It seems that March is the only month that has absolutely no long weekends or vacations this year. What a bummer, but at least us cool math teachers have two special days to celebrate this year: Square Root Day (3/3/09) and of course the ever-so-popular Pi Day (3/14)!

As for a classroom activity, I’m still debating on how I want to celebrate this interesting and popular mathematical constant. I’ll figure something out. Unfortunately, the students will have to celebrate it on Friday the 13th. Scary Pi Day!

As for the real celebration this Saturday, I’ll definitely be heading to Vinatero’s Wine Shop to join in their Pi Day Celebration. What better way to celebrate than to be around a bunch of math nerds and wine? You should check it out!
